Someone give that girl a medal!

For an incredible eighth time, Kellie Pickler has headed out on a USO Tour to help entertain the hardworking men and women of the armed forces.

While all USO Tours are special, this one is a little different because it is the final annual holiday USO Tour for General Martin Dempsey, the 18th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Also on the tour with the general and Ms. Pickler are Glee's Dianna Agron, Washington Nationals pitcher Doug Fister, star of the USA Network legal drama “Suits” Meghan Markle and eight-time Pro Bowler/former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher.

So far the group has visited three military bases and one ship at sea, as well as created precious holiday moments for more than 1,400 airmen, sailors, Coast Guardsmen and soldiers, and their families. Among the locations visited so far are Andrews Air Force Base (Maryland), Naval Station Rota (Spain), the USS Ross and U.S. Army Garrison Vicenza (Italy).

Kellie says about this newest trip to visit the troops, “Feeling blessed to have the opportunity to go back out on the road with General Dempsey and be a part of his final USO holiday tour as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I was honored to tour with him in 2012, and I am having a great time again this year. This is my eighth USO tour, and it is honestly a joy for me to be able to bring a piece of home to our service men and women while they serve abroad.”

Kellie is currently hard at work on her second album with Black River Entertainment.
