In the most promising news of the day, it's been announced that Brandy Clark has signed with Warner Bros. Records.
Let's just hope they let Brandy be Brandy and don't try to change her one bit.

Warner Bros. Records (WBR) today announced that it has signed a global recording contract with renowned country singer-songwriter, Brandy Clark, who comes to WBR thanks to Slate Creek Records. Clark is currently nominated for New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year (for co-writing Kacey Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow"), for this year’s CMA Awards (airing live on ABC-TV on Wednesday, Nov. 5), where she will also present.

Having already established herself as a hit songwriter for a wide range of renowned country artists, Clark released her debut album as a recording artist, 12 Stories, in 2013. The album featured the singles “Stripes,” “Pray to Jesus,” and “Hungover,” and peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart.
