Well this is certainly good news!
Randy Travis' rep confirmed a few months ago that the singer still wasn't able to speak after his stroke in 2013, but that his therapist had high hopes that the singer would one day return to the stage. Now comes a new interview with Randy's fiancée, Mary Davis, that gives new hope for Randy's recovery.
Mary spoke with Dallas-Fort Worth's ABC affiliate recently and gave an update on the singer's condition, revealing that he's now to the point where he's able to sign autographs – although with a bit of a twist.
"He's starting to write," she said. "He signed some guitars with his left hand. So Randy Travis has a new autograph!"

She also reveals that the singer's starting to walk without the walking stick he was photographed with at his last rare public appearance and can walk about 300 yards without it.
As for the inability to speak, or aphasia, Mary says it's also getting better.
"He wakes up with a smile on his face; he goes to bed with a smile on his face. He inspires me daily," she said.
Mary says she's positive that all the prayers from fans have helped in Randy's recovery and hopes that they keep coming.
Done. Thoughts and prayers coming from us here at NashvilleGab.
