Lucy Angel might be a little crazy. After packing up their entire lives, the trio—consisting of mother Kate Anderton and her two daughters Lindsay and Emily—set about chasing their dreams, nearly 10 years ago. As they set their sights on their debut album, the red dirt-leaning, Arizona-bred band have premiered their hot new single "Crazy Too," a southern rock-country hybrid that races 0 to 180 in less than two seconds. The track, which debuted on Sirius XM The Highway on Wed. (Nov. 19), is the lead sample from their forthcoming self-titled Noah Gordon-produced LP and is delivered by way of Average Joes Entertainment.
As the trio continues building a solid fan foundation, they've already opened for such country acts as Jake Owen, Montgomery Gentry and Jerrod Nieman. In addition to their music, Lucy Angel has also been expanding its brand into TV, having recently landed an opportunity on AXS TV. Set for a January 2015 launch, the band will be featured in a series (produced by JT Taylor of Taylored TV and known for his work on MTV's The Osbournes) called Discovering Lucy Angel, which will follow the family as they gear up for their debut album's release.
“I can’t believe the timing of everything. We’ve been here for ten years. It just feels right, and that it’s all falling into place. The record is right, the single is awesome, and then the TV show. It’s a really exciting time," Lindsay says.
And without further adieu, take a listen to "Crazy Too":
