This past Sunday, at his final performance on the Take Me Downtown Tour 2014 summer leg, family man and country chart-topper Joe Nichols stepped up to solely headline the Allegan County Fair in Allegan, MI in support of tour headliner Lady Antebellum, who was forced to cancel its performance as news broke that Lady A guitarist Dave Haywood’s wife had gone into labor.
Nichols can relate to baby milestones happening while on the road, as his own wife recently gave birth to his third little girl, Georgia Blue.
Nichols told his fans on Twitter, “Would like to say congrats to Dave of Lady Antebellum and his wife. And I’m also glad people came out to the show still… Thanks!”
