Streamsound recording artist Austin Webb is using his platform to make a difference in the lives of those with Autism. On September 10th he hosted a StageIt show where all proceeds went to Autism Speaks, one of the leading organizations for Autism research. This isn't the first time Austin has donated his time and talent to Autism Speaks. Last October he performed during Autism Sings which was a benefit concert that took place at Jimmy Buffet's Margarittaville in Nashville, TN.
On September 13th Austin was scheduled to play at the York, PA county fair on the radio stage which was hosted by 107.7 WGTY. I reached out to Austin and his team, who I've worked with multiple times and have a good relationship with, to let them know I would be attending and so would my 4 year old son who was recently diagnosed with Autism. They immediately set up a meeting before the show so Austin could meet my son. Austin has a great presence and is wonderful with children regardless of any disability.
Austin took the stage and immediately demanded attention. His stage presence is powerful and when he sings you can't help but get a little lost. He performed my favorite song titled "Getting Even" which is a ballad. His vocals are massive and his sound is unique. It's clear he knows what he is doing and he owns who he is.
