Carrie Underwood's Jesus Take The Wheel is a sweet, inspirational song. However, it's probably not the best tune to use as a blueprint of how to drive in your everyday life.
A 25-year-old woman in Fort Wayne, Indiana found that out the hard way last month when she decided to take her hands off the wheel while she was driving. She later told police that she decided to let go of the wheel because “God told her he would take it from here.”
Unsurprisingly, God didn't take the wheel and her car ended up veering off the road and slamming into a motorcycle. The driver of the car, Prionda Hill, then ended up running over the motorcycle driver.
“When I looked at that bumper and looked at that tire, I told myself, today is the day you die,” the motorcyclist, Anthony Olivery, told The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette.
Olivery ended up with all of the ribs on his left side broken, his spleen cut, a bruised kidney, and severe injuries to his left arm and leg. Despite all that, he says he's grateful to be alive.
Prionda Hill was arrested and charged with failure to stop after an accident and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
Hopefully they added a little Dierks Bentley to Prionda's life and 5150'ed her ass.
