It's another big country star taking a bucket of ice cold water to the head for a good cause.
Blake Shelton was challenged by the Today Show's Hoda Kotb to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and today the video was posted of him following through. Also taking the plunge was The Voice host Carson Daly and Adam Levine.
The good news about this video is that Carson, Blake, and Adam have promised to also donate money for ALS research.
And just in case you're wondering if all this celebrity soaking is doing any good, the ALS association is reporting a massive increase in donations.
Between July 29 and today, August 12, The ALS Association and its 38 chapters have received an astonishing $4 million in donations compared to $1.12 million during the same time period last year. The ALS Association is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from those people who have been doused, made a donation, or both. Contributions further The Association’s mission to find a cure for ALS while funding the highest quality of care for people living with the disease.
Who knew all it took to get people to donate to a good cause was to make a bunch of celebrities look like drowned rats?
