Randy Travis, Dolly Parton and Janie Fricke
Back at the beginning of this month, Randy Travis made a rare public appearance at a Dolly Parton concert. He looked so healthy in pictures from that appearance that it was hard to believe that he had battled for his life only a year earlier. It also wasn't hard to imagine him getting back on stage and singing once again.
Unfortunately, TMZ has now learned that Randy isn't near ready to start singing again and in fact hasn't actually spoken since his stroke last year.
Randy didn't say anything to Dolly … because he can't. A rep for Travis told TMZ … although he can't speak now, the therapist said it wouldn't be out of the question for him to return to the stage … possibly in 3 years.
But one source who has spent a lot of time with Randy tells us … the singer can't form a sentence and it's unclear if he is even lucid enough to follow a conversation.
Well it sounds like Randy can still use as many prayers from fans as he can get.
