When the president calls, Brad Paisley answers

Brad Paisley air force one

Over the weekend, Brad Paisley traded in his tour bus for something a bit bigger and more important … Air Force One.

Turns out Brad made a tour detour and joined President Obama for a trip overseas where the singer was the surprise guest at Bagram Airfield, the main U.S. base in Afghanistan. He played an hour-long acoustic set for approximately 3,000 U.S. troops. From the stage, Paisley referred to the show as “the honor of my life.”

The trip was not announced and was a complete surprise to those not in the know until the president and his special guest landed.  President Obama delivered a speech to the troops expressing thanking the service men and women for their extraordinary service, met with military commanders and visited wounded troops in the base hospital.
What a cool thing for Brad to be a part of.
