Yep, you know you’re in California when a 1000-square foot home in a residential neighborhood is being sold for nearly a million and a half dollars.
Of course, this home is being sold by none other than Dolly Parton, so it might just be the perfect home for a super-fan.
The RealEstalker is reporting that Dolly has put her West Hollywood home-away-from-home on the market for a tidy little sum of $1,395,000.
I’m so proud….Idaho gets its very own Dolly Parton
The home is a cozy 1,091 square feet with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. As you might expect from Dolly, the home is loaded with pink, but it also has a very desert feel and looks like it should be in New Mexico rather than out west with the stars.
From the Zillow description:
Your chance to own a piece if history; said to be the former childhood residence of Natalie Wood. This gated mini-compound is an eclectic and whimsical oasis located in West Hollywood’s coveted Norma Triangle. Featuring warm hwd floors throughout, plantation shutters, motorized skylights, hand painted details, built-in A/V equipment, security system complete w/cameras and newer central HVAC. The secondary bedroom has aw/walk-in closet, full bath and French doors leading to its own private landscaped deck. A walk thru the cozy den w/fireplace leads you to French doors and the Master bedroom which features 2 generous closets, built-ins w/pop up TV and French doors that lead to the large covered deck w/built-in seating, BBQ, refrigerator and prep area. The rear garden is totally private with an abundance of lush landscaping and total privacy, plus a separate climate controlled storage room. Garage is being used as an adorable, private guest suite with HVAC.
The house is really quaint and looks like a nice place to hang your hat after a tough day out in the California sunshine. Of course, there is one oddity about the place. The garage has been turned into a guest house that has a toilet bidet pretty much right next to the bed. Also in the room is a side-by-side refrigerator.
