Remember how much fun American Idol used to be when Paula Abdul was a judge and nobody could ever figure out if she was drunk, high on pills, or just really, really ditzy?
Man, those were the days.
Well it looks like someone may finally be stepping up to take Paula Abdul's place as the singing competition hot mess we all deserve, and that person is Kesha.
On Friday, it was announced that Brad Paisley, Kesha, and Ludacris had joined ABC’s new singing competition series Rising Star, and on Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards the trio appeared together to not only introduce themselves as the judges for the new show, but to also introduce the highly-anticipated Michael Jackson hologram performance.
Let's just say that the Michael Jackson hologram wasn't the most bizarre part of the video below.
Rising Star premieres Sunday, June 22 (9:00 – 11:00pm ET/PT) on ABC.
