Kip Moore pushes back album release date, says new single will throw fans for a loop

Kip Moore

Kip Moore has something up his sleeve. The singer chatted with The Country Vibe on the ACM Awards red carpet Sunday and revealed a little about his new album and his new single.

Kip says that his new single, Dirt Road, will be released in the next couple of weeks, but that fans should be ready for a doozy.

"It's going to throw people for a loop because the title is misleading about how the song's gonna sound, what it's gonna be talking about. It's a very intense song I can't wait for people to hear. It's been a big underground thing with our fans for a long time."

As for Kip's new album. Fans had been expecting it to be released next month, but it's been pushed back until this summer.

Kip Moore's drummer is reportedly leaving the band

"I'm never done. It could still shift.," he says. "We now know exactly when the record's comin' out and there still is time to change it up. So I've still been writing a lot of stuff that I'm starting to really, really like, so it might change again. I just have to keep reminding myself that as long as I've lived with these songs, other people still haven't heard them yet, so we'll see."

Next up for Kip, he'll be heading out on tour with Tim McGraw on his Sundown Heaven Town Tour starting in May.

Here's Kip singing a song called Dirt Road that's from February of last year. I'll go out on a limb and say it's the same song, but am not 100% sure.
