Carrie Underwood lets her inner princess fly free, debuts new song at Salute to the Troops event

Carrie Underwood let her inner princess (or '50s prom queen if you prefer) fly free at Monday night's ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops where she also debuted a new song that was written specifically for the show. 

According to Gab friend Jason, Carrie along with Luke Laird, Hillary Lindsey and Shane McAnally penned the song, called Keep Us Safe, for Carrie to sing at the event.

According to a recent tweet, Carrie is currently working on her next album, but there's no word on whether the touching new song will be included on the album or not.

ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops featuring Carrie, Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Luke Bryan, Merle Haggard, Hunter Hayes, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line and The Band Perry and hosted by LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell, will air on CBS May 20 at 9/8c.
