Holly Bobo murder suspect pleads not guilty

Zachary Adams

Not guilty.

That's the plea 29-year-old Zachary Adams entered today (3/11) when he faced a judge in Decatur County, Tennessee after being charged last week with kidnapping and murder in connection to the disappearance of Whitney Duncan's cousin Holly Bobo.

Bobo disappeared in 2011 after last being seen by her brother while being lead into the woods by a man wearing camouflage. Since then, family, friends, and volunteers have tirelessly searched for the nursing student, holding out hope but fearing the worst.

Since his arrest, disturbing facts have come out about Zachary including the a poorly-timed Facebook post he made minutes after Holly's disappearance that NashvilLe's News Channel 5 was able to obtain that said, "You never was you stupid whore."

After Zachary was arrested, Whitney Duncan took to Twitter to express her feelings.

"Words can't describe the heartbreak. Thank u for the prayers. ," she wrote.

So far it's not clear what investigators found, if anything, after searching Zachary's home. Prosecutors are still deciding whether to seek the death penalty

Despite the sad outcome, hopefully having a suspect in custody will help the family have some closure. My heart goes out to everyone involved.
