A few years ago I made the accidental discovery that a very fresh-faced Matthew McConaughey had starred in the video for Trisha Yearwood's Walkaway Joe. I know I wasn't the first person to realize this fact, but it was definitely news to me at the time. 

Skip ahead a few years and the actor is now an Oscar winner and Trisha is proud of the man who sexied up that early video.

Taylor Swift song “Ronan” helps raise 100,000 for the V Foundation

 V Foundation for Cancer Research, one of the nation’s leading cancer research funding organizations, is excited to announce that it will receive $100,000 from the sales of international superstar Taylor Swift’s single “Ronan,” whose proceeds benefit pediatric cancer research.  Swift’s donation will add to the more than $14 million The V Foundation has already awarded to fund pediatric cancer research through signature events like the Dick Vitale Gala.   Cancer is the leading disease-related cause of children’s death in the US.  The V Foundation is intent on changing this and saving children.

It was clear when Joshua Scott Jones was one-half of Steel Magnolia (with Meghan Linsey) that he possessed a groovy, soulful voice that could enrapture thousands of fans. Even though the duo is no longer forging ahead together, he still holds onto his rock roots, as evidenced on his debut solo single "Honk (If You're Tonky)," the lead-in to his forthcoming set The Healing.

Despite both singers embarking on their own, there is a small possibility of a reunion in the future. "I think we’re really good together. We’re like peanut butter and jelly when we sing together," Jones tells NashvilleGab, exclusively.

‘Nashville’, Season 2, Episode 16 – RECAP

Following the drama of last week, Nashville was back with a bang in episode 16, as we begin to inch towards the season’s climax. Rayna was on the warpath this week, discovering Liam was sleeping with Scarlett and firing him, after a conversation where Scarlett admitted she was falling for him, and firing Tandy after her poor keeping of the books led to cheques bouncing and The Cadillac Three choosing to sign with Big Machine instead of Highway 65. Refusing to have people around her who break her trust, Luke is back and tries to convince Rayna that she needs to deal with the pain of her father’s death, but of course she continues to bottle and just be generally angry at everyone.
