A few days ago I mentioned that Blake Shelton had hit the recording studio with fellow "The Voice" coach Shakira. Now we know a bit more about the song.
On Tuesday, the Latin singer stopped by "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" and explained how the duet came about.
"We just [recorded it] – it's a country, folk song," she said of the song they worked together on. "I kind of directed him. I wrote the song with some people from Nashville and I sent it to him and I was super-nervous."
"I was like, 'Oh my God. What's he going to think?' And he loved it. He said, 'Wow! This is exactly what you were talking about. I love this song,' " she added.
The song is expected to be part of Shakira's self-titled album which hits stores March 25.
The new season of "The Voice" launches February 24.
