Ugh. I generally like the political comedians with their own shows – Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert – and am a total supporter of gun rights, but some jokes just aren't funny and should probably not be kidded around about, even when you're trying to make a point.
Like, I don't know, a mass shooting at a country music awards show.
A reader pointed me in the direction of this truly tasteless joke that Bill Maher recently told on his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher.
Taking a swipe at conservatives on gun control, liberal comic Bill Maher joked that a mass shooting should take place at the Country Music Awards.
“Now that liberals have forwarded their agenda by inserting a mass gay wedding into the Grammys, conservatives must match them tit-for-tat by having a mass shooting at the Country Music Awards,” Maher said Friday during his HBO program, “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
I really hope I'm not the only one that found the joke in bad taste, but then I guess that's probably the point.
