According to Fox News the # 1 country fued belonged to the Eric Church vs Miranda Lambert/Carrie Underwood debacle. I'm sure this was largely in part to Miranda's fierce reaction to his statements, which did cause Eric to offer an explanation apology for his comments to make things right in the world. Well, kinda. Eric's name does seem to be associated with drama on occasion. Remember that whole weird Taylor Swift video he did then took down? Yeah.
If you don't remember exactly what happened, here's a refresher: Rolling Stones asked the 'Springsteen' singer how he felt about reality singing competition shows. Mr. Church responded, "Honestly, if Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green f—ing turn around in a red chair, you got a deal? That's crazy. I don't know what would make an artist do that. You're not an artist."
And wasting no time, Miranda was quick to defend herself and others and said, "Thanks Eric Church for saying I'm not a real artist. Or Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban."
So naturally Eric, maybe in fear that a ticked off country girl could probably do some serious damage, responded with, "The comment I made to Rolling Stone was part of a larger commentary on these types of reality television shows and the perception they create, not the artists involved with the shows themselves. The shows make it appear that artists can shortcut their way to success."
Not sure if that's as juicy as some of the other fueds, but regardless glad it's water under the bridge now!
