Has LeAnn Rimes signed with Big Machine?

LeAnn Rimes

Has LeAnn Rimes found a new musical home?

I posted a press release this morning about the Motley Crue tribute album that Big Machine is putting out to celebrate the legendary band's decision to quit touring. In the release, they mentioned several of their artists that will be recording songs for the album including Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, Eli Young Band and Cassadee Pope. And then at the front of the pack was LeAnn Rimes' name.

Everyone they mentioned in the press release is a Big Machine Label Group artist and is listed on their website, everyone except LeAnn.

Last November she told Us Weekly that she was in the process of ending her time at Curb:

"Right now, I'm actually ending a record deal that I've been in since I was 11, so 20 years at the same label. That ends next month, so, yeah, it's exciting. I'm trying to lay out the land and figure it all out for the next 10, 20 years of my life."

I can't recall (and I Googled to make sure) LeAnn announcing a new record deal or even formally announcing the one with Curb had come to an end other than saying in the Us Weekly article that it was in the process of ending, and she's still listed on Curb's website as one of their artists.

Of course, they still have Dan Seals on their site as one of their artists and he unfortunately died back in 2009, so I don't suppose the website is much indication of what's going on.

Still, is LeAnn singing on the Motley Crue tribute album as a free agent? Is Curb loaning her out? Or do you suppose we should be expecting an announcement from Big Machine soon?

The press release did say more singers would be announced soon, so maybe they're going to have a bunch of artists who aren't with Big Machine.

I honestly don't know how these things work, but it caught my attention. Maybe one of you guys could shed light on the situation.
