Darius is up for Best Country Solo Performance for the song, 'Wagon Wheel'. This past November, while on the Dan Patrick show, he had said, "If ‘Wagon Wheel’ doesn’t get nominated for a GRAMMY, country music is screwed. It’s as simple as that. I’m not saying I should win it, but it should be nominated.”  Well, mission accomplished. And as for that not winning comment, well…it is a heavy favorite in the catagory.

The song had a huge run in 2013 hitting # 1 on multiple charts and ended up taking the #2 spot on Billboard's US Hot Country song year end chart. It's a timeless classic that has proved it's quality with many artists, but Darius' version is definitely a personal favorite.

Win or lose, he has a lot to look forward to this year with his True Believers Tour. Tickets are selling at rapid pace and have even have SOLD OUT several dates. So in other words if you want to catch this country star and his friends the Eli Young Band and David Naill in action, you better jump up and grab some tickets NOW. The tour officially kicks off Jan. 29 in Champaign, Ill.
