Nearly three weeks after Carrie Underwood and the rest of the cast of NBC's 'The Sound of Music Live!' raked in 18.5 million viewers with its original airing, the show's ratings are still rising thanks to a second airing a week later and people now viewing the show on their DVRs.
NBC now estimates that 44.18 million viewers have watched at least a portion of the show.
With ratings like that, I guess it's no surprise that NBC's feverishly looking for a new musical to take on for next year.
