Martina McBride officially becomes 7th act to quit SeaWorld performance

And we have a winner. Ding! Ding! Ding!

Last night I had mentioned that there were three more country stars scheduled to perform at SeaWorld's Bands, Brew & BBQ event next year – Martina McBride, Scotty McCreery, and Justin Moore – and wondered who would be next to drop out since acts were dropping like flies.

And that winner of the race is now officially Martina McBride who took to her Facebook on Saturday to make the announcement to fans.

“I’ve decided that given all the issues that have been aired recently, the time isn’t right for me to play at Seaworld. I have cancelled my scheduled performance at the Bands, [Brew] & BBQ event in March 2014.”

Martina is the seventh act to drop out of SeaWorld's upcoming annual Bands, Brew & BBQ event. Most of the acts who have dropped out have done so due to their feelings after watching the documentary Blackfish

Previously, Willie Nelson, Trisha Yearwood, Barenaked Ladies, Heart, REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick had also pulled out of the event.

Now there's Scotty McCreery and Justin Moore left. I can see Scotty not wanting to piss fans off this early in his career, but Justin's a wild card. Do you think he'll buckle to pressure and/or his conscience or say screw it and perform anyway?

SeaWorld has responded to say that they are currently trying to book new acts so that the annual event can go on as scheduled.
