Sara Evans launches new lifestyle blog

I went on Reddit a while back (because I'm a glutton for punishment) and ended up talking to some people about my lil ol' site here. One of them said to me that they were under the impression that bloggers were a dying breed and that there was no money to be made in blogging.

Well I can definitely attest to the fact that there's not a whole lot of money to be made by the average blogging Joe (such as myself), but as for bloggers being a dying breed … well don't tell that to Sara Evans because she's just launched a new lifestyle blog.

From a press release that landed in my inbox:

Platinum-selling RCA Nashville recording artist Sara Evans recently launched a
new lifestyle blog, “A Real Fine Place,” with longtime co-worker, friend and
sister-in-law Kaelin Evans (“KK”). The blog of “fashion and whimsy” emphasizes
the pair’s passion for beauty, fashion, travel, and food. Sara, whose new single
“Slow Me Down” is currently climbing the charts with the companion video
starring NASCAR great Carl Edwards airing on CMT and GAC, teamed up with Kaelin
for the blog as a way to share all about the life that they love as they travel
around the world and in their normal everyday lives. Fans can expect a constant
stream of updates and posts from both Sara and KK, to find out more about their
“A Real Fine Place,” www.arealfineplace.com.

“We are
traveling all over the world, all the while trying to balance being wives,
mothers, friends and Fashionistas! KK is my right hand (wo)man, glam squad,
sister-in-law, and friend and we always say we should be recording our
adventures so here we are,” said Sara.
Sara will also appear tomorrow,
November 12th at 11am EST (check local listings) on HGTV’s Celebrities at Home
where the show’s host, Nancy O’Dell, gets a tour of the Birmingham, Alabama home
Sara shares with husband Jay Barker and their 7 kids. During the show Sara
invites viewers into her home that she helped design with friend and interior
designer Lisa Flake. Fans can also go to Sara’s website tomorrow to check out
some behind the scenes footage from the taping at www.saraevans.com.

Sara Evans has
enjoyed a prolific recording career with nearly 6 million records sold and 5 #1
country singles, including “Suds in the Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place To Start,”
and “A Little Bit Stronger,” which spent 2 weeks at #1 and was certified
Platinum by the R.I.A.A. She has garnered numerous awards over the course of her
career, including ACM’s Top Female Vocalist honor, and CMA’s Video of the Year
for her hit, chart-topping single, “Born To Fly” from her double-platinum album
of the same name. Evans’ seventh studio album is set to be released early next
year, and it’s first single “Slow Me Down,” and Evans’ first single in over a
year, marks a career milestone as her biggest first week add date ever on radio.
Named to People Magazine’s “50 most Beautiful People,” Sara’s career also
includes the Platinum-selling studio albums Real Fine Place, Restless, the
Gold-certified No Place That Far and the double-Platinum selling Born To
Fly.
