Last night was the Canadian Country Music Awards and this morning Terri Clark woke up to the news that she took home the night's Fans’ Choice Award winner.
This morning she took to her Facebook to thank fans for the honor.
I woke up to the news this morning along with a hundred congrats texts and shockingly realized I won fans choice at the CCMAs last night. A personal prior commitment didnt allow me to watch the show. I didn't attend this year, as I figured taking one year off after the last 18 would be good for me as busy as I have been with several projects as of late. To be honest , I didn't think I stood a chance of winning after all of these years. My fans are absolutely dedicated and amazing and I should have known better than to underestimate them !! Thank you so much everybody for voting for me. I feel so much love and gratitude as I enter the next phase of my career. I will be back at the show next year with new music and a big smile, and will be sure to watch the re -broadcast on CMT this Friday. !!!
Taylor Swift, who, as far as I can tell, also didn't attend the awards ceremony, won Top Selling Album of the Year honors for "Red."
