After having his court date postponed once, Billy Currington has finally had his day in court and is on his way to putting his elder abuse/terroristic threats case put far behind him.
According to Online Athens, Billy plead no contest today in a court hearing and was sentenced to five years probation and will have to pay a $1,000 fine. He was also ordered to undergo anger management counseling and have no contact with the boat captain, Charles Ferrelle, who Billy is accused of threatening back in April. In exchange for Billy taking the plea deal, the terroristic threats case was dropped.
Billy had originally plead not guilty back in August and had a court date set for October 4. Glad to see everything's worked out for him in the end.
