Taylor Swift’s next acting role to be alongside Meryl Streep in “The Giver”

Back earlier this month, Taylor Swift was briefly rumored to be dating Australian actor Brenton Thwaites. Both denied the rumors. Now comes word that they really weren't dating, just getting ready to star in a movie together. 

Variety is reporting that Harvey Weinstein has confirmed that he's involved in the big screen adaption of Lois Lowry’s 1993 young adult novel, "The Giver," which will star Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Katie Holmes, and Alexander Skarsgard. Also signed onto the film is Taylor and Brenton.

The "AAA 400" NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race begins at 2 pm ET on Sunday, Sept. 29th. Prior to the race, the multi-platinum selling duo will perform a free concert for fans.
