Could Jessica Simpson be coming back to country music?

Jessica and Kellie

I've got a bit of news that will quickly unite all the country fans out there. Forget your hatred of Taylor or Florida Georgia Line or Luke Bryan's new single because I have two words that will quickly unite you in your hatred of something entirely different.

And those two words are: Jessica Simpson.

I can't remember another singer or band that united country music fans quicker than a mutual hatred for Jessica Simpson. I was never quite sure why either. I saw her in concert when she was on tour with Rascal Flatts and thought she was better than a few others I could mention. She wasn't spectacular, but she also wasn't what I would consider horrid like so many claimed.

She just seemed to be one of those sorts of people that people hate with a passion for no specific reason. She was like the Gwyneth Paltrow of music.

Well she got dropped by her country record label and then went off and had a couple babies, did a now canceled T.V. show, made a few hundred million from her various fashion-related companies, and seemed to be pretty much done with music.

Now, however, comes word that Jessica may just be plotting her return to music … but what sort of music?

John Rich’s stalker arrested for stalking 17-year-old girl

BildePrevious mugshot

Wow, if you thought that the guy who is accused of stalking Big & Rich's John Rich was creepy before, this definitely isn't going to change your opinion of him.

Mark "Chris" Sevier, a 36-year-old former Nashville attorney who was arrested back in June for allegedly stalking John Rich, was arrested this morning in Nashville for allegedly stalking a 17-year-old girl.

Eesh willakers.

According to The Tennessean, Sevier spotted the girl at a local coffee shop and ended up following her to where she worked.

As if that wasn't creepy enough, after following her to her to her place of employment, Sevier allegedly spooked the girl by telling her about a private conversation she had had at the coffee shop with a friend months earlier, the arrest warrant stated.

Spotlight: The men of open mic night in Logan, WV

There is a little town in southern West Virginia tucked back into the mountains. Logan, WV is a town known for the infamous Hatfield & Mccoy feud. It's also known for coal mining. However, there is one other thing that seems to be buzzin' around….. Open Mic Night.

BJ's is a small bar where most come to drink or gamble, with the exception of a few fellas who come for one thing & one thing only, to sing their music for a crowd. Wednesday night is a special night especially for Jeremy Queen, Travis Podunavac and Derek Bowen. They each have their own style and their own preference in music but the one thing they have in common is that they need it to live.

Sara Evans ‘Slow Me Down’ – Single Review

As someone who is only familiar with bits of Sara’s music, I
went into ‘Slow Me Down’ fairly blind. Despite my lack of knowledge, however, upon
first listening I think most would be surprised what the sound that hits you.
Once the song gets going, of course, it takes the shape of what you would expect
from a Sara Evans song: a country-tinged pop/soft rock belter focused around
love and relationships.

However, it’s the riff that, while the most memorable, is
also the most interesting part of the song. Played on piano across higher keys
than a lot of other songs, a huge heaping of delay has been added, and I think
they’re a little synthed, because they don’t quite sound real. In fact, I had
to watch an acoustic video of the song just to figure out it did actually seem
to be a piano they were using, as opposed to a computer program. Maybe I’m crazy,
but the piano just sounds slightly inhuman to me. It’s very much at the
forefront of the mix, and leaves a lasting impression on the listener.

Ex Tim McGraw band member reportedly planning tell-all book

Uh oh, looks like those non-disclosure agreements I'm pretty sure Tim McGraw had his ex band members sign may not hold up as well as he might have hoped because Radar Online is reporting that one disgruntled ex employee/friend is planning a tell-all book.

According to the report (which is based on a National Enquirer story, so yeah), the juiciest part of the story of the unnamed former band member's book will involve the "homoerotic hijinks" that took place while on tour.

And – OMG! – there's a picture of Tim slapping another man’s bare bottom (enter sarcasm here).
