Despite having a pretty full plate this fall what with his and wife Faith Hill's return to their Vegas show in October, Tim McGraw has also taken on a new acting gig that he'll begin shooting next month.
Although he won't say what movie he's starring in, Tim tells ABC News, "I don't know if it's a surprising role, but it's gonna be a great film." He goes on to state the obvious, saying, "It's gonna be a busy winter."
A quick look at IMDB, which is usually pretty good at keeping up with the movie world, shows that Tim is rumored to be starring in Five Good Years, a movie about a young Kentucky coal miner forced into boxing ring to save critically ill mother in fact-based story. It's also rumored to star Melanie Griffith. Looking at the movie's Facebook, however, it looks like the film started shooting clear back in 2010 so I don't know if the movie's been in limbo that long or if this isn't actually the movie Tim will be shooting.
Guess we'll find out soon enough.
In other Tim news, the superstar has teamed up with Duracell to help donate a million batteries to first responders across North America as a way to celebrate the launch the battery company's new Duracell Quantum batteries.
McGraw will host a series of videos, called "Quantum Heroes," highlighting the heroic efforts of first responders in crisis situations. Today's premiere video shows off the the New York Fire Department and their hard work during Hurricane Sandy.
The series of spots will run on Duracell's YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages. Viewers are encouraged to share their own stories using the hashtag #MyQuantumHero. The company will also be iaring national ad spots highlighting the new batteries and the campaign.
