Chart Roundup – Week of August 17th, 2013

Brett-Eldredge-2012-300-01

Florida Georgia Line score their 23rd week at the
top of Hot Country Songs this week with ‘Cruise’, which also continues to reign
on Country Digital Songs, in addition to ‘Here’s To The Good Times’, still at
#1 on Top Country Albums. So far their latest hit ‘Round Here’ has yet to match
its success, down to #7 on Hot Country Songs, #9 on Country Airplay and #6 on
Country Digital Songs this week, although it seems like it’ll net another radio
#1 for the duo in a few weeks’ time. ‘Get Your Shine On’ has dropped #3 on both
singles sales charts.

Hunter Hayes is still at #2 on Country Airplay with ‘I Want
Crazy’, not managing to knock Randy Houser off the top spot just yet. It’s also
at #2 on Hot Country Songs and #3 on Country Digital Songs, while Hunter’s ‘Hunter
Hayes: Encore’ album sticks at #3. Meanwhile, the aforementioned Randy Houser
doesn’t move much this week, at #3 on Hot Country Songs and #4 on Country
Digital Songs with ‘Runnin’ Outta Moonlight’, and Luke Bryan’s ‘Crash My Party’
holds onto #2 on Country Digital Songs and #4 on Hot Country Songs, falling to
#8 on Country Airplay. It will soon be taken off that chart, with the
announcement of Luke’s new single, ‘That’s My Kind of Night’.

Brett Eldredge has had an awesome week, releasing his debut
album, having ‘Don’t Ya’ go gold, and also moving up to #5 on Hot Country
Songs, #3 on Country Airplay and #11 on Country Digital Songs. Carrie Underwood’s
also flying high, ‘See You Again’ moving up to #4 on Country Airplay, #8 on Hot
Country Songs and #13 on Country Digital Songs. She’s always gearing up for the
release of her live concert DVD next week. Despite Blake Shelton releasing ‘Mine
Would Be You’ a while back, and slowly climbing up the charts (#25 on Country
Airplay and #20 Country Digital Songs), ‘Boys Round Here’ has so far only dropped
to #6 on Hot Country Songs and #5 on Country Digital Songs, while ‘Based On A
True Story…’ continues to be bought, at #2 on Top Country Albums.

Keith Urban’s ‘Little Bit of Everything’ enters the top 10
this week on Hot Country Songs, while it steps up to #6 on Country Airplay and
#14 on Country Digital Songs. Last week’s radio #2, Kip Moore’s ‘Hey Pretty
Girl’, is now down to #5, as well as #12 on Hot Country Songs and #18 Country
Digital Songs. Tyler Farr is inching up the charts, now up to a peak of #9 on
Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs, and #11 on Country Airplay. Plus,
with the video for Jason Aldean’s ‘Night Train’ released, the track is likely
to receive a boost up the charts, with this week it reaching #10 on Country
Digital Songs, #16 on Country Airplay and #14 on Hot Country Songs.

The biggest new release this week has to be Vince Gill &
Paul Franklin’s ‘Bakersfield’, coming in at #4 on Top Country Albums. In
addition, The Oak Ridge Boys are at #38 on the same chart with ‘40th
Anniversary: 1973-2013: Celebrating Faith, Family & Freedom’. Finally, Luke
Bryan’s ‘That’s My Kind of Night’ has hit #21 on Country Airplay. Honorable
mentions go to Darius Rucker, Thomas Rhett, Easton Corbin, Justin Moore, Billy
Currington and Lee Brice.
