Songwriter Johnny MacRae passes away

Johnny MacRae, who wrote hit songs such as Conway Twitty's  I'd Just Love to Lay You Down and Reba McEntire's You Lift Me Up to Heaven, passed away on Wednesday from heart disease. He was 84. 

His wife Mary tells CMT.com that although no funeral will be held at Johnny's request, she is planning a celebration of his life tentatively set for October.
