As I wrote about this morning, Scotty McCreery has been sued by his former management company, Cassetty Entertainment, for allegedly failing to hold up his end of the bargain in a verbal management deal that fell through because, according to the lawsuit, Scotty would never sign on the dotted line.
Now Scotty has responded to the lawsuit, saying in a statement to NashvilleGab:
There is
no truth to these allegations. I have offered to pay Todd more than once, but
he wanted an unreasonable amount for only five months of work. Anyone who knows
me knows how I conduct myself, so I am not worried they will believe any of
this. This is just an attempt to embarrass me and my family. The facts will come
out when we have our day in court.
So far I've seen no official court date set for the lawsuit, but I'll bring you more info as I get it.
