In case you're wondering exactly what viral cardiomyopathy is, it's a heart condition caused by a viral infection of the heart. According to WiseGeek, "the heart weakens and does not work as well as it should, causing a variety of problems for the patient. Once diagnosed with cardiomyopathy of any kind, including viral cardiomyopathy, the prognosis for the patient is variable, depending on how severe the condition is and what kinds of treatment options are available." According to TMZ, viral cardiomyopathy can lead to heart failure.

Eek.

Randy seemed to be doing well after all his legal troubles of the last couple of years. He had publicly sworn off alcohol and as part of one of his plea deals, had been ordered to a 30-day treatment program. Now let's hope he can fight through this newest setback.
