Country singer Phoenix Stone hit the red carpet on Sunday, July 18, at the 5th Annual Glittler & Glam event, sponsored by the Agape Animal Rescure. Shedding light on the importance of taking care of man's best friend, Phoenix was also on hand to emcee the evening with "American Idol" Season 2 alum Kimberley Locke.
Before the event was underway, the crooner took the red carpet to talk to reporters. Nashville Gab caught up with him to chat about his upcoming new music, his recent concerts in West Virginia and what fans can expect from "Next Great Family Band," when it returns mid-August.
"I've been in the studio finishing up a few songs for the album," he beamed of his super busy summer schedule. "I have a new single coming out in September with a new label. We're [officially] gonna announce it really soon. It's really exciting. I've also been on tour. A few hours ago, actually, I got in from a few shows in West Virginia."
"Those people are wild," he laughed, noting his concert in Boone County. "Everybody was so nice and so fun. They were there to have a good time, which I love. It makes it better for the artist."
On the panel of "Next Great Family Band," the 30-minute show returns to Cozi TV in August. On what fans can expect for the rest of the season, he said, "It's gonna be exciting. We've narrowed to some really amazing bands. Each one of the judges mentored two different bands. So, I'm excited for you guys to see the bands I chose."
