Those annoying musical greeting cards that always seem to have children playing with them as you walk down the card aisle are about to get just a little less annoying thanks to Keith Urban.
Hallmark announced today that they are releasing a line of musical cards which will feature Keith Urban song lyrics as well as his music.
The collection includes 12 cards and ranges from celebrating birthdays and friendship, to lending support, love, encouragement and more. Priced at $4.99, each card in the line features a 15-second sound clip from some of Urban’s top songs such as “Long, Hot Summer” and “Sweet Thing” – two of his 14 No. 1 singles.
“For me, a card, like music, has the ability to make an emotional connection,” said Keith Urban. “I love knowing that these cards, and my music, will mark such meaningful moments in so many people’s lives!”
Travis Meadows is one of the most promising (and truly talented) songwriters to ever come out of Nashville.
His tragic past, including his first memory of his brother drowning to his drug addictions over the years, has led him to where he is today. With a cut on Dierks Bentley's upcoming record called "Riser," Travis finds that he is the happiest now than he has ever been in his life. Earlier this year, he released "Old Ghosts and Unfinished Business," an emotionally-charged seven-song set making peace with his mistakes. Previously, he released "Killin' Uncle Buzzy" in 2011, a gripping EP that helped the singer claw his way back to redemption.
Nashville Gab recently spoke with the songwriter about writing "Riser," his deep well of inspiration and how suffering changed his life for the better (and much more).
Do you suppose Taylor Swift's hair smells good? I think it probably smells something like strawberries, puppy kisses, and fairy dust, but that's just me. If 4Chan users have anything…

Let me know if you've heard these rumors before … Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are divorcing, Miranda Lambert's pregnant with twins, Miranda Lambert likes the ladies and is a bit gay.
Yeah, I've heard the first two but that last one I've never heard before. Well Miranda's apparently heard someone say she was gay because she addressed the rumor last Thursday in Boston.
According to Contact Music, Miranda chatted with the crowd during her appearance at the CMA Songwriters Series and a couple of the things she addressed were those pesky tabloid rumors.
She said, "For the record, I’m not pregnant – I’m drinking – and I’m not getting divorced. And I’m not gay, because I think (fellow country star) Kip Moore’s cute, and Blake knows about it."
For the record, I think Miranda Lambert is hot as hell and I'm not one bit gay, so thinking Kip Moore's cute probably isn't a good indication that you're not gay, but I get what she's saying.

Well this certainly isn't going to help ease fans' fears that the Pistol Annies have split up or are on the way to doing just that.
From a press release:
Country singer-songwriter Ashley Monroe hit the road last week in support of her critically-acclaimed album Like A Rose, which was co-produced by Vince Gill and Justin Niebank. As the only artist to have two albums featured in Rolling Stone's "Best Albums of 2013: Mid-Year Report" with both Like A Rose and Pistol Annie's Annie Up, Monroe's solo country album is one of the most highly praised releases of 2013. Monroe exclaims, "Wow!!! Being in Rolling Stone's "Best Albums" list one time exceeds my wildest dreams. To have two albums on the list is beyond humbling. I couldn't feel more honored."
Monroe began her tour with multi-platinum band Train on the "Mermaids of Alcatraz" tour. During the 25-date run, Monroe will join Pat Monahan to sing their duet of the band's current hit single "Bruises," followed by a performance of her own material. Later this fall, Monroe will join Grammy-nominated Atlantic artist Hunter Hayes on the "CMT On Tour: Hunter Hayes Let's Be Crazy" tour, running through the end of the year. She recently performed with Hayes at a sold-out New York City Webster Hall show, followed by a solo performance for MTV's Online Music Awards. Last month Monroe was also featured singing alongside Willie Nelson for CMT Crossroads: Willie Nelson & Friends from Third Man Records.
This April, Sugarland's Kristian Bush made a decision: it
was time to start sharing the music he was writing. "I've written over 50 songs
just this year," Bush says. "It's like I'm on a streak. The songs just keep
coming. And if you add these to everything from the past two decades, they might
never all be heard." He launched his 'Music Mondays' web series that week, and
has since released 12 tracks, both old and new, via KristianBush.com and his
social media feeds. [Hear the "mixtape" of his first eleven songs here.] "I love
writing songs, and I love how the right song at the right time can change
everything," adds Bush. "I'm always looking for new ways to connect these songs
with people who might need to hear them."
Remix version of country
music's "Soundtrack to Summer 2013" now available on iTunes and other digital retail
stores
Country music recording artist Sarah Darling has teamed up with DJ and Remix Producer, DJ DU to add an electronic dance flavor to her catchy, summertime single " Little Umbrellas," pegged the "Soundtrack to Summer 2013" by music industry execs. The hypnotic dance club version marks DJ DU's first commercial remix release and is NOW AVAILABLE nationwide on iTunes and other digital retail stores. Preview here.
On the new track, Darling kept her signature vocals true to the original, while DJ DU meshed electronica, pop and rock notes over an accelerated techno beat to create a remix version of "Little Umbrellas." The pair is confident the song will keep dance floors rockin' all summer long. "It is a summer anthem made for lovers of all types of music," DJ DU says. "Ladies will relate to it and there's no doubt guys can even use a 'little umbrella' in their drink every once in awhile."
