Chris Young reveals artwork and tracklisting for new album ‘A.M.’

With the countdown on to the September 17 release of his forthcoming album, A.M., Chris Young revealed the album cover and song titles today. “I couldn’t be more excited to share this with my fans,” said Chris. “We just finished the cover last week and got the songs sequenced so this is truly ‘hot off the press,’” he continued.

A.M. features 11 new songs, including the hot new single, “Aw Naw.” Chris co-wrote six of the songs including “Aw Naw” and the title track. “There’s a lot of fun on this album and that’s why I wanted to call the album A.M.,” said Chris. “Like the song says, ‘the whole world’s asleep but we’re wide awake in the A.M.” Fans can get an early listen to the song by catching Chris on tour this summer.

Blair Garner steps down from After MidNite … country stars step in (from the mailbag)

Premiere Networks, the number one audio network in the U.S., announced today that After MidNite will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the highly-acclaimed Country music program with a star-studded takeover. As the show's creator and long-time host Blair Garner steps down from his post on July 31, twenty of Country music's biggest stars will sit behind the mic and give fans their unique, week-long take as host of the program. The takeover, which runs from August 1 through the end of 2013, will also feature special performances, interviews and much more.

The following celebrity guest hosts will kick off the After MidNite takeover in August:

Did Blake Shelton skip Toby Keith’s fundraiser because Toby skipped his?

So has anyone else wondered exactly why Blake Shelton and Toby Keith didn't perform at each other's tornado relief concerts?

Blake performed his Healing In The Heartland benefit back on May 29 and Toby Keith had his Oklahoma Twister Relief show on July 6. I never got the feeling that they were dueling benefits between two Oklahoma boys or anything like that, but you do kind of have to wonder why two proud Oklahoma natives didn't join forces to help the other raise money for the state they love.

Toby was actually asked why he didn't perform for Blake's show recently and his answer was understandable. 

“The first concert they did, that Blake and those guys did, was wonderful because it was a TV show and it pumped a lot of money in quick and fast,” Toby told reporters. “I just couldn’t do it five or six days after because it was just too soon for me to be downtown playing music. I had, you know, stuff to deal with here,” he added.

The Grand Ole Opry is about to give music fans a never-before-seen look behind
the scenes of the show that made country music famous. Two new Opry House
Backstage Tours, a VIP Behind The Opry Curtain Tour and a Post-Show Tour offer
backstage experiences during and following Opry shows, respectively. The new
tours are added to the Opry’s backstage tour line-up which also includes a
daytime tour featuring video host, CMA Entertainer of the Year and Opry member
Blake Shelton.
With the new VIP Behind The Opry
Curtain Tour, a limited number of fans at each Opry performance can for
the first time stand backstage as the big red curtain goes up on an Opry
