Chart Roundup – Week of June 29th, 2013

I can predict that Florida Georgia Line are on the cusp of
breaking many more records than they already have, with their reign on the
Billboard country charts refusing to subside. Still at #1 with ‘Cruise’
(featuring Nelly) on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs, their 2012
album ‘Here’s To The Good Times’ has reclaimed #1 on Top Country Albums too.
Not to be outdone however, Blake Shelton has received another Country Airplay
#1 accolade with ‘Boys Round Here’ (featuring Pistol Annies and friends). The
song is also #2 on both Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs, and while
Blake’s latest album ‘Based On A True Story…’ has dropped to #3 this week, it
shows that he is hot on the heels of the super-duo if their sales begin to

Darius Rucker is also holding fast to the top few spots,
remaining at #3 on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs with ‘Wagon
Wheel’, as well as charting at #2 on Top Country Albums with ‘True Believers’.
Then there’s Luke Bryan, who looks set to take these charts in a few weeks, his
latest single ‘Crash My Party’ at #4 on Hot Country Songs, #3 on Country
Airplay and #6 on Country Digital Songs, while Jake Owen is also proving a
summer hit with ‘Anywhere With You’. He’s at an impressive #2 on Country Airplay,
#7 on Hot Country Songs, but he’s fallen all the way to #19 on Country Digital

‘Highway Don’t Care’ by Tim McGraw (featuring Taylor Swift
and Keith Urban) is another big summer song, at #5 on Country Digital Songs and
Hot Country Songs, and while it has fallen from last week’s Country Airplay #1,
it’s still at #6 and likely set to rise in the coming weeks as summer really
kicks in. Hunter Hayes’ momentum is beginning to stall, however, sticking to #6
and #7 respectively on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs, and just
rising to #10 on Country Airplay. However, with the release of his new album ‘Encore’,
I’m sure ‘I Want Crazy’ will begin to rise again soon.

Brad Paisley’s ‘Beat This Summer’ has slowly climbed the
charts over the past couple of months, now at #10 on Hot Country Songs, #4 on
Country Airplay, but finding himself at #21 on Country Digital Songs in favor
of newer tracks above him. His album ‘Wheelhouse’, however, has climbed back up
to #11. Carrie Underwood’s ‘See You Again’ is similar; she’s #9 on Hot Country
Songs, #11 on Country Airplay but #12 on Country Digital Songs. ‘Blown Away’
has dropped to #20 on Top Country Albums.

There are plenty of new releases on the charts this week
shaking things up a bit. Most of those are finalists from The Voice, with
winner Danielle Bradbery hitting #22 on Hot Country Songs and #8 on Country
Digital Songs with ‘Who I am’ and #11 on the same chart with ‘Please Remember
Me’. Third-placed contestants The Swon Brothers did even better however, with ‘Danny’s
Song’ at #4 and ‘Turn The Page’ at #10 on Country Digital Songs, the former track
even reaching #16 on Hot Country Songs. In addition, Toby Keith has come in at
#26 on Country Airplay with his new single ‘Drinks After Work’, and the compilation
album ‘NOW That’s What I Call Country Volume 6: 18 Chart Topping Hits’ has
debuted at #4 on Top Country Albums.

Honorable mentions go to The Band Perry, Randy Houser, Zac
Brown Band, Kip Moore, George Strait, Brett Eldredge, Keith Urban and Miranda
Lambert. Come back next Thursday for another chart roundup!
