Brad Paisley fans give 900 pounds of food for hungry veterans

LogoFans of country music superstar Brad Paisley brought more than their tickets, friends and sing-a-long voices with them to Paisley’s recent concert in Saratoga Springs; they also brought food and cash donations for Feed Our Vets, a nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating hunger among U.S. veterans and their families.

It was the second year in a row that award-winning singer/songwriter Paisley invited Feed Our Vets to set up its trailer during his sold-out concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The venue hosted a food collection contest as part of the event, with the winner earning front-row seats to the concert and a meet-and-greet with Paisley. John and Jill Bailey of Albany were the winners, bringing in a hefty 346 pounds of groceries. The concert netted a total of 900 pounds of food and $400 in donations for Feed Our Vets.

Trace Adkins has quite a few movie roles under his belt, but according to Trace the toughest part of acting is actually getting people to believe he knows what he's doing.

As I told you a few days ago, Trace had been in Birmingham shooting a surprise movie called "Mom's Night Out" with Patricia Heaton, Sarah Drew, and Sean Astin (to name a few). Trace took a break from shooting to talk with Al.com about the movie, his character, and what the toughest part of acting is.

Chart Roundup – Week of July 6th, 2013

Hunter-Hayes-Hunter-Hayes-Encore-Deluxe-Version

With the release of Hunter Hayes’ ‘Encore’ edition of his
self-titled debut album (the deluxe edition in laymen’s terms), has rocketed
the country pop singer back to the top of Top Country Albums, while the lead
single off the record, ‘I Want Crazy’ is now at #3 on Hot Country Songs and
Country Digital Songs. If that wasn’t enough, it’s now also at #7 on Country
Airplay. Leading that chart is Jake Owen with ‘Anywhere With You’, which is
down to #8 on Hot Country Songs and #22 on Country Digital Songs.

#1 on Country Digital Songs is Florida Georgia Line, with ‘Cruise’
(featuring Nelly), that is also #1 on Hot Country Songs for yet another week. ‘Here’s
To the Good Times’ is at #2 on Top Country Albums. This duo seem unstoppable,
even by Blake Shelton, who remains at #2 on both charts this week with ‘Boys
Round Here’ (featuring Pistol Annies). The song has dropped down to #4 on
Country Airplay, however, after being last week’s #1. His album, ‘Based On A
True Story…’, also stays at #3 this week. Darius Rucker’s ‘Wagon Wheel’ is
holding out too, down to #4 on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs
while ‘True Believers’ is at #4 on Top Country Albums.
