Kacey Musgraves is officially my new obsession. I love her in a totally non stalkerish way so it makes me so happy to hear that she’s featured on the first single from Dierks Bentley’s upcoming new album “Riser.”
Rolling Stones features a clip of the single called Bourbon in Kentucky.
Dierks Bentley is readying the fall release of his next album, Riser, on Capitol Records Nashville. To celebrate, he’s released a clip for its lead single, “Bourbon in Kentucky,” which features country songstress Kacey Musgraves. She joins in on the chorus “There ain’t enough bourbon in Kentucky to forget you,” which serves as a tribute to Bentley’s father’s death. Riser was written and recorded one year after he passed.
“Life in general has a way of knocking you down,” Bentley says in a statement. “It’s different reasons for different folks – could be personal reasons, could be family reasons, your job, drugs, alcohol. That song really applies to anybody that’s lived. There have always been those moments when we have to get back up and get on our feet. They are defining moments . . . breakthrough moments.” The full song will premiere on his website on May 28th.
