Not sure why but this story makes me smile. Probably has something to do with the happy message of it never being to late to live out your dreams.

The ever fabulous Cher has a country singer in her family … her 86-year-old mom Georgia Holt.

Georgia just released her very first CD 'Honky Tonk Woman' on Tuesday. The album was actually recorded in Los Angeles in 1980 when Georgia worked with Elvis Presley's musicians, but for some reason it was never released. The tapes sat in Holt's garage for over 30 years before being rediscovered, restored and mixed by The Voice's Musical Director Paul Mirkovich.

"Honky Tonk Woman" features ten songs including one she sang with her famous daughter. Georgina, a former beauty queen, actress and model in her early life, always dreamed of a singing career and it's wonderful to see her going for it.

Georgia's "Honky Tonk Woman" is available through iTunes, Amazon
and all other outlets.
