Man, those Walmart execs know how to party. Every year at their shareholder meetings in Fayetteville, Arkansas, they manage to bring in some of the biggest names in music, and this year was no different.
Last week on various days, Carrie Underwood, Aerosmith, Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, the Zac Brown Band, Taylor Swift, and several others made appearances to play for Walmart employees.
I’ve watched several of the videos of the stars performing, and the one that has got to be the cutest is Justin Timberlake interviewing random shopper Taylor Swift.
“My name is Taylor, I’m from Nashville,” Taylor “bashfully” told Justin Timberlake, the meeting’s host, after he introduced her to the crowd. Justin fake mockingly piped back, “I guess if you’re a singer and you live in Nashville, you’re probably a songwriter, too?” The songstress replied, “Yeah, and I have six Grammys, too,” before Justin joked, “Waitress!!”
Makes you wonder if Taylor had any butterflies going on considering her admission that Justin was her teen crush on the Ellen DeGeneres show back in 2009.
