Jamie Lynn Spears has proven her skills as a songwriter as of late, lending her talents to the Top 10 Jana Kramer hit “I Got The Boy.” Now, the youngest of the Spears siblings is back in the spotlight with the release of her new single “Sleepover.”
“Sleepover” is a mid-tempo tune that tells the tale of taking a new relationship slowly, explaining that the blossoming love isn’t simply a sleepover. Spears, along with the songwriting star-studded team of Liz Rose, Tina Parol, and Corey Crowder, brings the song to life, releasing it to iTunes and Spotify today for public consumption.
In speaking of her new single, Spears explained:
“Sleepover” has really set the tone for my next chapter as an artist. Sometimes I forget that I’m only twenty-five years old so I wanted to embrace that. We as women can be mothers and wives, but we can still be confident, sexy and flirty. “Sleepover” really helped me understand that side of me more.
Jamie Lynn Spears’ TLC special “When The Lights Go Out” will air this Sunday, June 26, at 10pm ET/9pm CT.
