Country legend Merle Haggard has been battling pneumonia for months, and it has been confirmed that the country legend has passed away on his 79th birthday. The Hag was scheduled to tour with Willie Nelson this month, but was forced to cancel due to illness.
Haggard was born on April 6, 1937 and is considered one of country’s greatest outlaws. In 1994, he became a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and in 1997, he was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
