Sam Hunt is easily being labeled country music’s Drake. Which for those of you that don’t know, means he isn’t afraid to use his rough exterior as a front to his sensitive side. Entertainment Tonight said it was an ex girlfriend that actually helped Sam relate to the females in the audience.
His ex-girlfriend (whom he has never officially named, though the mag points to a “dark-haired beauty” named Hannah Lee Fowler) was a huge influence in his album, Montevallo.
He said: “I spent a lot of time talking to her about the songs and asking, ‘What do you think about this?'” he said. “Her perspective was a powerful part of me being able to connect with a female audience, not just a male audience.”
And let’s be real, the ladies are a huge help in Sam’s success: “Respect for women was a very important part of my upbringing… The women in my life demanded that from me.”
For people wanting to know if this catch is available, he assured the public that rumor about hooking up with Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman in June (both parties deny it) is just a rumor. He says today definitively: “I’m single.”
