Immediately following the Chattanooga, Tennessee shootings in July, Brantley Gilbert expressed his anger toward the situation when he called into a radio station in the affected city. During the call with station US 101, Brantley promised to hold a benefit concert for the victims’ families, and, yesterday, news emerged that the country rocker is staying true to his word.
Chattanooga Unite: A Tribute on the River will take place on September 16th, exactly two months after the shooting. The event will begin at 2:00pm with an Armed Forces parade, fireworks, and a concert headlined by Brantley Gilbert. Emceeing the event will be blockbuster movie star Samuel L. Jackson, a Chattanooga native, and more special guests are expected to be announced in the weeks to come.
Chattanooga Unite is a free event honoring all servicemen and -women, but donations will be accepted to benefit the National Compassion Fund.
