There are a million reasons to love Kelly Clarkson. She’s got a voice that’s second to none, her baby is quite possibly the cutest, happiest thing that has ever existed and she’s not afraid to speak her mind. Clarkson recently opened up to Digital Spy’s On the Record, getting candid about her experiences in the music industry.
When asked about the role of females in the music industry, she doesn’t mince words. “If you’re confident and you’re ballsy, you’re a bitch,” Clarkson speaks candidly. “If I were a man, it’d be considered bold and confident and it’s not unfortunately if you’re a woman….The difference with that is I just don’t give a s*&t anymore.”
She also opens up about felling like a “brand new artist,” now that’s she’s (finally!) free from her American Idol recording contract. “I’ve never had the chance to pick what I want to do and when I want to do it…I’m excited about whatever is next.” She admits, “I honestly don’t have a fricken’ clue.”
Dearest KC, we here at Nashville Gab think “what’s next” should DEFINITELY include a country album stat.
