If the upcoming ACM Awards monologue sucks, you'll have one thing to blame … trout.
Blake Shelton visited the Country Countdown USA this weekend and talked about his upcoming ACM Awards co-hosting duties with Luke Bryan, and explained how a fishy subject got in the way of their recent rehearsing.
Blake says that he and Luke got together to shoot some promos (one you can see above), and despite that being the perfect time to get their acts together, they were sidetracked … by fish.
“That would have been a good opportunity, but we ended up talking about trout most of the time. He’s got a little place he stocks with trout on his land, and he talked me into doing that with my place, and then I got excited about it, and he got excited, and started showing each other pictures, and next thing you know, the commercial shoot was over. So the commercials and our ACM monologue are probably gonna suck because all we talked about was fishing.”
While I'm sure their hosting talents won't suck this year, you can tune in for yourself to find out how Bluke II, Blake and Luke, do co-hosting the 49th annual ACM Awards Sunday night, April 6th, on CBS.
