Chart Roundup – Week of December 14th, 2013

Danielle Bradbery To Release Self-Titled Album November 19

We have a new Hot Country Songs #1 this week in the form of Florida Georgia Line’s ‘Stay’, which is also now at #6 on Country Airplay and #3 on Country Digital Songs. However, they also hold the Country Digital Songs #1 with ‘This Is How We Roll’ featuring Luke Bryan (also #18 on Hot Country Songs), #5 with ‘Cruise’, #12 with ‘Take It Out On Me’, #13 with ‘Hands On You’, #18 with ‘Headphones’ and #25 with ‘People Back Home’, while ‘Here’s To The Good Times’ is at #4 on Top Country Albums. Luke Bryan’s also having a great week, ‘That’s My Kind of Night’ returning to #3 on Hot Country Songs and #2 on Country Digital Songs, while ‘Drink A Beer’ is just below it at #4 on Country Digital Songs, #7 on Hot Country Songs and #15 on Country Airplay, and ‘Crash My Party’ has dropped to #3 on Top Country Albums.

Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert have experienced a slight fall in sales for ‘We Were Us’, this week down to #2 on Hot Country Songs, #6 on Country Digital Songs and #2 on Country Airplay. The new radio #1 is Joe Nichols’ ‘Sunny and 75’, also #23 on Country Digital Songs and #4 on Hot Country Songs. Eli Young Band’s ‘Drunk Last Night’ has risen once again, now at #5 on Hot Country Songs, #4 on Country Airplay (sure to be #1 in a couple of weeks) and #16 on Country Digital Songs. Giving them a run for their money are country music newcomers Parmalee with ‘Carolina’, which has climbed to #3 on Country Airplay this week, and holds onto #6 on Hot Country Songs while it falls to #19 on Country Digital Songs.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Red’ is up one place to #8 across Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay, and #22 on Country Digital Songs with the album dropping to #7, while elsewhere David Nail’s ‘Whatever She’s Got’ is charting at #9 on Hot Country Songs, #7 on Country Digital Songs and #14 on Country Airplay. Blake Shelton’s ‘Mine Would Be You’ is on its way down the charts to prepare for a new single, currently at #10 on Hot Country Songs, #9 on Country Airplay and #17 on Country Digital Songs, while ‘Based On A True Story…’ is still going pretty strong at #6 on Top Country Albums. His protégée Cassadee Pope is holding out on #11 across Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs, and #12 on Country Airplay, just beating Cole Swindell, who has placed at #12, #13 and #15 across Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay and Country Digital Songs respectively.

New releases this week are ion abundance, and aside from the many Florida Georgia Line album tracks, Danielle Bradbery’s self-titled debut album has hit #5. In addition, an album track from Jake Owen’s brand new album called ‘What We Ain’t Got’ has proved a hit with fans as it has reached #20 on Country Digital Songs already. Kip Moore’s ‘Young Love’ is at #21 on this chart, while Kenny Chesney’s ‘Life On A Rock’ has made a re-entry to #19 on Top Country Albums. Jamie Lynn Spears has debuted her first country single ‘How Could I Want More’, and her success has led her to #8 on Country Digital Songs, with Cole Vosbury coming in below her with ‘I Still Believe In You’ at #9. Honorable mentions go to Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Zac Brown Band, The Band Perry, Eric Paslay, Hunter Hayes and Eric Church.

That’s it for this week of charts; come back next Thursday for more Billboard fun and frolics!
