Runnin-Outta-Moonlight

Well folks, it’s happened. Florida Georgia Line have
surpassed the record for number of consecutive weeks spent at #1 on Hot Country
Songs with ‘Cruise’. They are the all-time record holders (Jason
Scott, one of our writers, had a rant about this today
). In addition, ‘Cruise’
is #1 on Country Digital Songs, and their album ‘Here’s To The Good Times’ is
still #1 on Top Country Albums.  Their
latest single, ‘Round Here’ is at #6 on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs,
and #12 on Country Airplay, while ‘Get Your Shine On’ remains popular at #20 on
Country Digital Songs and #22 on Hot Country Songs. Basically, in a short space
of time, they’ve taken over the genre.

Hunter Hayes looks decidedly unsuccessful next to them,
despite holding onto #2 on Hot Country Songs for yet another week with ‘I Want
Crazy’, as well as being at #3 on Country Airplay and Country Digital Songs,
while ‘Hunter Hayes: Encore’ climbs to #3 on Top Country Albums. Luke Bryan may
have a controversial new song in ‘That’s My Kind of Night’, but ‘Crash My Party’
is yet to fall from its peak, boasting positions at #4 on Hot Country Songs, #5
on Country Airplay and #2 on Country Digital Songs, now officially the new #1
spot after Florida Georgia Line pretty much closed the real #1 off on both
singles sales charts.

Aside from this, the new radio #1 is Randy Houser’s ‘Runnin’
Outta Moonlight’, which also appears at #3 on Hot Country Songs and #5 on
Country Digital Songs, while Blake Shelton’s ‘Boys Round Here’ shows no sign of
dropping down the charts despite its age, finding places at #5 and #4 on Hot
Country Songs and Country Digital Songs respectively. In addition, Blake’s
latest album ‘Based On A True Story…’ doesn’t seem to be slowing down as it’s
still at #2. Brett Eldredge is celebrating this week, having had ‘Don’t Ya’ go
gold and reach #4 on Country Airplay, as well as #7 on Hot Country Songs and
#10 on Country Digital Songs. Not bad for someone whose debut album hasn’t even
come out yet (that’s due August 6).

What’s more, Kip Moore (ha, get it), whose ‘Hey Pretty Girl’
was #1 on Mediabase last week, has moved up to #2 on Country Airplay, and is
shifting the units too, at #8 on Hot Country Songs although falling to #16 on
Country Digital Songs. Carrie Underwood’s ‘See You Again’ is continuing to rise
too, now #9 on Hot Country Songs, #6 on Country Airplay, and #15 on Country
Digital Songs. Darius Rucker’s ‘Wagon Wheel’ is just starting fall out of favour
after its long reign but yet it is still proving popular enough to be at #10 on
Hot Country Songs and #7 on Country Digital Songs, and his album ‘True
Believers’ still at #4.

As for new releases, Guy Clark’s ‘My Favorite Picture of You’
has debuted at #12 on Top Country Albums, and Tim McGraw’s ‘Southern Girl’ has
hit #24 on Country Digital Songs. Others charting well include Keith Urban, The
Band Perry, Zac Brown Band, Easton Corbin, Tyler Farr, Thomas Rhett, Billy
Currington, and Jason Aldean.

That’s if for this week, check back next Thursday for
another chart roundup!
